Gramona Imperial Brut
TASTING NOTES
Pale yellow with golden hues. Ripe white
fruits - apples and pears with notes of anise and dill. Balanced wine with
flavors of white flowers, freshly baked bread and citrus peel. Full-bodied wine
with a refreshing finish. Balanced and light taste with a fresh finish.

Ageing Potential: up to 10 years
THE WINERY
Gramona is organic and biodynamic producer,
located in the Alt Penedés region, 30 kms south of Barcelona. The family
built its first winery, Celler Batlle, in 1881, and was to make wine there for
120 years. Gramona “reinvented itself” in 2001, with the construction of
a new winery, where it has since been exploring various eco-sustainable
development-related themes.
VINEYARDS
The winery uses an agricultural management
system that employs environmentally-friendly practices. Organically-grown crops
are treated without artificial chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The
climate is typically Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild winters.
VINIFICATION
Manual harvest in boxes of 25 kg
each. Selected on site and in the cellar, the grapes are gently
pressed and separately vinified according to the
variety. Medium dosage of 6 grams/litre.
Ageing: on the lees “sur lattes”
for over 48 months
