THE WINERY
Christian Moreau Père et Fils is a family-owned winery with a rich heritage that spans several generations. The estate was established in 1814 by Jean-Joseph Moreau, and today, it is run by Christian Moreau, the sixth generation of the Moreau family.
VINEYARDS
The winery owns and cultivates vineyards in some of the finest terroirs in Chablis. They have vineyards in both Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations, which are known for producing exceptional Chardonnay wines.
VINIFICATION
Cold settling and fermentation with a temperature of around 20°C.
Winemaking and aging : 50% in regulated stainless steel tanks / 50% in barrels for 9 months(2/3/4year-old barrels – less than 5% of new oak) and 6 months blending in tanks before bottling.
100% of the malolactic fermentation. Natural tartaric stabilization after 12 to 16 months aging.
FOOD PAIRING
Fish, shellfish, pork. It harmonizes well with Brie, Beaufort, Conte or Emmental.
