THE WINERY
This wine producer was set up in 1966 when Sinforiano Vaquero and Daniela Gomez decided to carry on the family tradition. From the initial beginnings of a small number of vines and an old underground cellar with concrete tanks, hard work and illusion have resulted in a vineyard that covers 70 Hectares and a modern cellar equipped with the latest technology and with a capacity of 700 tonnes of grapes.
VINEYARDS
The vineyard is situated in the village of Mucientes (Valladolid) and forms a part of the Cigales wine-producing area. The vines are grown in an altitude of 740 m. The soil is deep layer of clay- limestone. The climate is continental with wide temperature ranges during both the day and throughout the year with an Atlantic influence.
VINIFICATION
Handpicked grapes. Cold macerated for a few hours with the skins and fermented untouched in steel tank at a controlled low temperature and then aged 5 months on its fine lees in steel tank too.
