Аromas of dark fruits, due to the exceptional grapes’ maturity. Wine of character with flavours of ripe fruits, spices and a note of liquorice. This cuvee is elegant, with a great depth and full body.

THE WINERY
Gerard Bertrand is one of the most outstanding winemakers in
the south of France, where he owns numerous estates amongst the most prestigious
crus of Langeudoc Rousillon. Known as the king of the Languedoc, Bertrand
produces wines with stunning quality that demonstrate the diversity that the south of France offers.
VINEYARDS
The terroir of the Corbières stretches from the Pyrenees to
the Montagne Noire with a kaleidoscope of geology and complex climates, a
situation which serves to produce outstanding wines, granted their AOC
classification in 1985. The soils consist of gravely clay and limestone with a high
percentage of stones and pebbles.
VINIFICATION
The grapes are hand-picked. CO2 maceration takes between 10 and 18 days for the Syrah and traditional maceration is used for the Grenache and Mourvèdre varieties.Followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing: 33% of the
wine is matured in barrels for 9 months
