Mailly Grand Cru

Mailly Grand Cru extends over 70 hectares, entirely located
in Champagne in the heart of Montana de Reims Natural Park. Vineyards have been
grown in the Mayan area, Champagne for centuries. Only 17 of the 319 villages
in the Champagne area are classified as producing Grand Cru wines, and since
1929 May has been one of them. Mayi is perhaps the most famous champagne
co-operative, in part because of the fact that he produces all of his Grand Cru
vineyards.
The exceptional quality of the Maya wines is due to the favorable climatic and natural conditions of the region - the chalky subsoils affect humidity and temperature, and the hilly plantations are exposed all day in the sun. The vineyards are divided into 480 plots planted with Pinot Noir (75%) and Chardonnay (25%). Blessed with unique terroir, most of the plots are north facing, leading to fine, well-balanced wines. Grape defrosting methods are environmentally and soil-friendly.
