THE WINERY
Jean Foillard's winery is important for its natural winemaking philosophy, focus on the Gamay grape, terroir-driven approach, production of iconic Morgon wines, and influence on the natural wine movement. His wines embody the essence of Beaujolais and have garnered international recognition for their exceptional quality and distinct character. Foillard's Morgon Côte du Py is one of his most celebrated wines. It has gained a reputation as one of the finest examples of Beaujolais.
VINEYARDS
Jean Foillard works with old vineyards, some of which are over 100 years old. The winery produces a relatively small quantity of wine each year, with a focus on quality over quantity. As a result, availability of Foillard's wines can be limited, contributing to their desirability among wine collectors and enthusiasts.
