TASTING NOTES: Don Ramón Mezcal Joven is double distilled and made from 100% Espadín agave from what is now Oaxaca, Mexico. The agave is aged for a total of 6-7 years. This mezcal has a very complex character, marked by subtle smoky notes.

The agave is grown in the rich soils of the Oaxaca region, which is known as the "heart of mezcal." The region’s unique terroir imparts specific characteristics to the agave and ultimately the mezcal.

Unlike tequila, which is often aged in oak barrels for various lengths of time, most mezcals, including Don Ramón Mezcal, are typically not aged or only lightly aged (known as Reposado). This preserves the fresh, smoky flavors that define mezcal.
