TASTING NOTES
Deep garnet in the glass. Pronounced aromas of dried blackberry, dried plum, raisin, syrup, licorice, caramel, and smoke. High acidity, grippy tannins that were mostly resolved, and medium alcoholic finish.
THE WINERY
The winery's history dates back to the 1970s when Tommaso Bussola began working in the vineyards owned by his family. Over time, he developed a deep passion for winemaking and sought to create wines that reflected the unique terroir of the region. In 1983, Tommaso established his own winery, focusing on traditional winemaking techniques combined with modern innovations.
VINEYARDS
Tommaso Bussola Winery is situated in the Valpolicella Classica region, where the vineyards benefit from a favorable microclimate and well-drained soils. The winery primarily cultivates indigenous grape varieties, including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara. These grapes are used to produce various wines, ranging from Valpolicella and Ripasso to the renowned Amarone della Valpolicella.
VINIFICATION
Ageing: 48 months of aging in twice used barrels.
